The Moon

What do you see in the sky at night? The moon. The moon is an important system for the earth. Here’s some information on the moon.
About five billion years ago, huge clouds of dust and gas started to shrink under its own gravity. The centre got squeezed so tightly it heated because of the pressure. That created the sun, moons, planets and meteors. The reason why the moon keeps orbiting the earth instead of floating of is because of the earth’s gravity.
You can see dark patches on the moon called seas. That is where lava once flowed. Also you can see craters from where meteors crashed. The reason the moon changes form is because the sun shines on one side of the moon. The parts we see are the parts the sun is shining on.
The moon is moving further away from earth. In a few million years the moon will plunge into the sun. That means our nights will be a lot darker.
The moon gives us light when the sun reflects of it and also makes the tides go in and out like a magnet.
So now you know a lot about the moon and how it was formed, its appearance and its affect on earth.

WALT:compare and contrast different programmes. This double bubble shows the differints between websparashon and bubbl.us.The programme I like to use best is bubbl.us because bubbl.us is easy to use and easy to put onto my blog and it didn't take me long to find out how to use it but websparashon took a long time to find out how to use it.
