On one side of the coin is Queen Elizabeth the second because she is the queen of New Zealand but she lives in England. On the other side is a New Zealand Kotuku




On the top image of the 5 dollar note is Sir Edmund Hillary because he climbed Mt Everest and he is the first person in New Zealand to appear on on a New Zealand note. On the bottom 5 dollar note is the Yellow eyed penguin because it is a native animal to New Zealand.
