Special Olympic Advertising
Walt: Create an advertisement persuading people to go to the Special Olympics here in Palmerston North.
I used MS Publisher to create this poster. To make my poster stand out and grab the readers attention I had to find fonts and colours stood out from the back-ground. I found finding fonts and colours that would stand out challenging because it was hard to find the right fonts and colours and by using perseverance, I finally got it right!! Something I enjoyed was finding photos and backgrounds and arranging and rearranging the photos and words because I got to create it to make it stand out my way. Something interesting I learnt about advertising was that you had to make almost everything stand out especially the title!

Special Olympic inquiry
WALT: follow an inquiry process and present out inquiry learning about the Special Olympics using MS Movie maker. Before making this movie, I looked over the feedback I received last term for my movie about China. Some of the things I took into consideration and tried to improve on when making this movie were Add word to photos, speak louder and add more expression. Something interesting I have learnt about the Special Olympics during this inquiry is that the 5 stick figures represent the 5 continents. A challenge I found in this inquiry is making the movie because the camera kept on blacking out I over came this challenge by changing batteries and we managed to get our movie done.

Snow Dream
It was freezing cold up in the mounties but a wonderful experience. Geraldine, Bradley, mum and I went up to see the sparkling snow up the Pahiatua Track. We parked beside the road and I thought there was not much snow but it terned to be lots of snow!!!. "SNOW BALL FIGHT!!!" I called to everyone(my family OFCORSE) and I made a snowball and though it at Geraldine. It keepet on going and going until...mun called"time to go.". As I hoped in the car I saw some deer.
It was a wonderful but cold way to end term 3.

Mr.Xu's vist.
WALT:Find out more about CHINA to help us in our dance performance.
Last week Cindy's dad:Mr.Xu came to share with us all about CHINA.He gave us Moon Cake because at this time of year in CHINA it is a spaeil time of year.An interesting fact I learnt was that CHINA has Traditional and Simplified Writing.I really enjoyed when Mr.Xu taught us the numbers in CHINA.

DANCE
During Week 1,we had a variety of learning experiences to tune us into ideas about our new big question this term-How are cultures and traditions expressed through dance?we had a performance from the boys high Pacifica group a performance from st peters Pacifica and a drumming workshop. I enjoyed the drumming workshop the most because i learnt a lot. something new I learnt was termites where used to make drums in Africa.

Manawatu Performing Arts Comp
I entered the Manawatu Performing Arts Compatition on Saturday and i entered 2 poems.One was called Winter Morning and the other was called Free Rangers.
I also entered a character resitle called A Is For Andy.
At the prisgiving they said i came in 4th place!
The colour of the ribbon was a peachy Orangery color.
It was the 2nd time I had entered the proforming arts!
I saw: Holly Imo Monika Ben and Olivia.
I hope we R going to see the St.James Corl Speeking grop tomorrow night!!!
My mum and dad are veray proud of me and both grandperents to!!

My learning about the Kokako
WALT:Present the information I have learnt during my inquiry simply and clearly so that others can gain the most important information from my presentation.
This voice thread explains what I have learnt about the Kokako. Something I think I did really well at this inquiry was my patience. Next time I do an inquiry I could improve on doing something not so hard.The part i liked the best about doing an inquiry was finding the info because we got to go to the library and heaps more and making my presentation because I got to share my info.

An interesting fact I have found out about the Kokako is that the North Island Kokako has blue gills and the South Island has yellow or orange gills.
The Kokako belongs to a grop called Wattlebirds incloding the Saddleback and the extinct Huia
